The trials and tribulations of Tam’s 2022 travels had better be over! This was the year to get back to “normal”, right? It has not worked out that way for me! I was supposed to go to the Maldives and Singapore in January and February with Ray of Hope Expeditions, doing citizen science with my friend Andrea Marshall, the Queen of Mantas. I was so excited! But then…Omicron. The Maldives shut down travel from Africa, and many of the group worried they could get stuck in the Maldives (I didn’t think that was so bad!), so the trip was canceled until 2023.
